David F. Green is an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics & Statistics and a member of the Laufer Center for Physical and Quantitative Biology at Stony Brook University. He earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Simon Fraser University in 1997, and a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry at M.I.T in 2002; he joined the faculty at Stony Brook in 2005, following Post-Doctoral studies jointly between M.I.T.'s Biological Engineering Division and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His research involves applying mathematical models and computational tools to a wide range of problems in biology, ranging from the molecular level, through cellular systems, to the population level.
